PHARMAQ is a global leader in aquaculture vaccines and innovation, developing safe, effective medicines with a strong environmental focus. They have developed a strong and growing presence at Inverness Campus, having been supported over several years to expand and strengthen its role in Scotland’s aquaculture sector.

The business recently relocated from Solasta House to An Lòchran on the campus where investment in new laboratory facilities has created a high-quality working environment for its talented team, supporting development in the aquaculture sector from its base in Scotland.

Close proximity to industry partners and research expertise have enabled PHARMAQ to continue developing its capabilities.

Chris Matthews, Business Unit Director for PHARMAQ Analytiq UK and Ireland, said:

“The new laboratory complements the existing digital pathology, microbiology and environmental laboratories already in Inverness and will deliver faster results to Scottish farms using PCR to safeguard the health of fish populations.”
