A campus designed for people and place

Inverness Campus covers 215 acres, with a strong emphasis on quality of place alongside development.

Landscaped green space forms a significant part of the site, creating an open and accessible environment that supports wellbeing, active travel and sustainable development. Footpaths and cycle routes connect buildings, green space, Raigmore Hospital and the wider Inverness network.

The Campus is open 24/7 and is used daily by businesses, students, staff and the local community.

Entering the next phase of development

With a strong first phase in place, Inverness Campus is now preparing for further growth.

Phase 2 will enable new land and development opportunities, supported by planned investment in infrastructure. This next stage aligns with the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport, supporting activity in renewables, advanced manufacturing and related supply chains.

Phase 2 and the Green Freeport opportunity

A platform for collaboration

Inverness Campus is designed to reduce barriers between disciplines and organisations by co-locating people, facilities and expertise.

By bringing together business, academia, healthcare and skills development in one place, the Campus supports practical, day-to-day collaboration. Organisations benefit from proximity to researchers, clinicians, educators and delivery partners, creating opportunities for applied research, innovation and commercial development.

This collaborative approach underpins the Campus’s role as a strategic location for innovation in the Highlands and Islands.
