Drones and robotics – also known as uncrewed or unmanned systems – are transforming how organisations operate across sectors including renewables, manufacturing, tourism, land management, marine industries and more.
We've commissioned research to better understand how drones and robotics are being used in the region, including:
- the benefits they bring
- the barriers organisations may face using them
- the opportunity to position our area as a leading region for the deployment and use of drones and unmanned systems
Your feedback will help inform future decisions around market opportunities for skills development, infrastructure and support, helping to shape the growth of a regional cluster in drone and robotics capability across air, sea and land.
We're also particularly interested in the opportunity to build on expertise in Oban and North Lorn, including existing developments around the European Marine Science Park and the region’s growing marine innovation cluster.
