As part of the study, businesses, community groups and social enterprises with future land or property plans are encouraged to complete a short survey by 22 March.
Whether it’s interest in land for sale or space to lease, HIE is keen to hear from organisations already based in the region as well as from those that are considering locating a business to the area.
The headline findings from this anonymous survey will be shared publicly to help better plan for future potential development regarding land, industrial workshop, laboratory or office space across the Highlands and Islands.
Douglas Cowan, director of communities and place at HIE, said:
“This study is about understanding the commercial property and land needs across our region, which is fundamental to informing the work that we and our partners do in meeting their requirements and the needs of businesses and communities.
“We’d like to hear from any organisation including those that are seeking space to expand or develop their business. The results from the survey will provide a valuable insight into the demand and needs for property and land from businesses across the Highlands and Islands and will be a useful tool in prioritising investment in property."
The survey was launched on 15 February and closes on 22 March. It should take 10-15 minutes. More information and the link is available at https://www.hie.co.uk/propertydemandstudy
