The networking event will be hosted by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) in the Horizon Scotland building at Enterprise Park Forres.
Attendees will hear from Donna Chisholm, HIE’s area manager for Moray, on the agency’s operating plan for the coming year. Kerry Sharp, director of the Scottish Investment Bank will speak about their work to continue increasing the supply of finance for business in Scotland.
Speaking ahead of the event, Donna Chisholm said:
“The Moray economy has great strengths and there are tremendous opportunities for growth over the next few years. Business leaders have important choices to make, and in HIE we want to know how we can best support their ambitions, so we are listening. I’m look forward to welcoming people to Horizon Scotland on Wednesday.”
While both HIE and SIB will provide initial presentations, there will be an open discussion on a wide range of topics to enable attendees to hear from each other as much as from the presenters.
HIE is planning a programme of business events and learning opportunities in Horizon Scotland over the coming year. This will include #hellodigital events starting in June to help firms make a big change to their online presence, and create content for fundraising.
A Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service Business Improvement Academy event in August offers support for companies looking to increase their competitiveness and profitability from the shop floor to director level. processes. The approach combines tools and techniques with cultural and behavioural change.
And the Entrepreneurship Academy in November, delivered by leading practitioners from across the UK and beyond, will cover brand development, pitching skills, entrepreneurial sales and digital strategy in a series of events. These are open to all ambitious entrepreneurs in Moray.
