Sanday is one of the outer north islands of Orkney. Sixteen miles long, and famous for its stunning white sandy bays, it is home to more than 500 people.
The community has had a development trust since 2004, and it has delivered a wide range of projects which are benefiting both the islanders and visitors. One source of income has been through a renewables partnership with SSE.
We've worked to support them over many years, including funding for a development manager and administrator.
