Founded on Scotland’s rugged coastline, Seadyes Limited is an emerging biotech company bringing innovation to the fashion and textile industries through sustainable, seaweed-derived pigments.  
 
By combining marine biotechnology with eco-conscious practices, Seadyes offers a natural alternative to synthetic dyes - without the use of harmful chemicals. 
 
Keen to make a positive environmental impact from day one, Seadyes partnered with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE). Founder, Jessica Giannotti, explains: “After setting up the business, I knew I wanted to work with HIE. You have that extra support and extra energy invested in your business, which is very special.” 
 
Working alongside both a local business manager and an innovation manager, Seadyes received tailored guidance on navigating early-stage development. This included strategic planning support and signposting to funding opportunities that aligned with their goals.
