Case study

Russwood

Sustainable timber expertise rooted in the Highlands

From its base in Newtonmore in the heart of the Cairngorms, Russwood has spent more than 30 years supplying high-quality timber cladding, flooring and decking products to customers across the UK.

What began on the site of the Russell family's former coal yard has grown into a forward-looking manufacturing business, combining traditional craftsmanship with a commitment to innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Now led by the next generation of the family, Russwood continues to build on the values established by founder John Russell while bringing fresh ideas and new perspectives to the business. Employing around 50 people, many from Badenoch and Strathspey, the company is committed to creating a workplace where people can develop long-term careers and contribute to the continued success of the business.
