Strengthening Communities Conference Scotland

A highlight of the community calendar, the Strengthening Communities Conference Scotland (SCCS) brings together groups, social enterprises and policy makers from across Scotland every two years.

The event, hosted by HIE, is all about people and their role in social and economic development.

The content and themes come direct from communities, and there are opportunities for us all to learn from each other, and share experiences on the issues that matter most in community development.

We held the inaugural SCCS in September 2017, our second event was in May 2019 and the next one is scheduled for 2021. They've been supported by the Scottish Government, South of Scotland Economic Partnership, Scottish Enterprise, SSE and Cairngorms National Park Authority.

If you haven't been along to these events you can catch up with some of the highlights here, and see how the discussions of key themes are helping shape community planning going forward.

If you'd like to keep up to date with plans for the 2021 event you can register interest below.

Vibrant communities are tackling repopulation issues and turning set-backs into opportunities.
