Low carbon energy systems

Technical advice for development projects.

Impartial and professional advice

Our Low Carbon Energy Systems (LCES) Technical Advice Framework supports communities and businesses across the Highlands and Islands with technical project development advice. It can assist in the early stage/concept development of a low carbon energy systems project.

Ricardo Energy and Environment (EE) are running this framework on behalf of HIE.

You can get impartial and professional technical project development advice to progress from early stage concept stage to a fully defined, well thought out low carbon project capable of attracting other forms of finance.

Advice is available in three stages:

  • Early stage project development advice
  • Options appraisals
  • Provision of advice and guidance to support clients to apply for funding streams

The framework provides support to communities and businesses across the Highlands and Islands, with the priority focusing on (but not restricted to) our account managed clients.
