Based in Tore, Muir Of Ord, Pure Water International Ltd is an innovative start-up company which has developed a range of containerized water treatment and filtration products for the industrial, commercial & Social water sectors.
There is now an exciting opportunity for a 12-month graduate placement to assist Pure Water International Ltd with an innovative technology project to test a new water filter prototype and create CAD drawings. The successful candidate will then be able to draw and create a full scaled up version of the water filter.

Role Description

Pure Water International Ltd are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivating and adaptable individual to join their team to create help develop a water filter prototype currently situated outside Edinburgh into a full scaled version which will process water so that A Namibian mine can repeatedly reuse water, reducing excess use and the disposal of waste in to local rivers. This will be a varied role, and the successful candidate may be required to work on several initiatives at one time.

Specific tasks of the placement will include:

  • Visit the testing site at a Farm just outside Edinburgh to familiarise and learn the principles of how the unit works and its objective’s
  • Visit testing labs and see test been carried out of water samples to understand the level of quality required
  • Photograph, sketch and measure prototype filter unit
  • Design / engineer test unit for mine based on the prototype by producing documents and specifications suitable to manufacture a sample unit for the mine
  • Analyse results from mine test unit
  • Draw in CAD full production drawings and write specification’s

Skills

Essential:

  • Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledgably in computer aided drawing
  • Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Understanding of tender processes methods
  • Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

  • Electrical knowledge (Renewable)
  • Water knowledge
