Established in 2013, ScotGrad is a graduate and student placement programme operated across the Highlands and Islands by HIE, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Graduate placements are fixed-term jobs designed to give you your first piece of graduate-level work experience. Through ScotGrad, you can join one of the region’s growing businesses or social enterprises and complete a placement of up to 12 months.
You’ll gain real-world experience working on a defined project, where you will make a significant impact on a small or medium-sized organisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your existing skills and knowledge, whilst working on a project from start to finish.
Many placements lead to continued employment, and 94% of graduates on our programme progress to graduate-level outcomes after their placement. All our placements offer a minimum salary of £18,500, or the pro-rata equivalent.
