Pathfinder Accelerator

The world is changing, so don’t sit still.

If you're ready to evaluate your business model and pressure-test your ideas, start your journey with Pathfinder Accelerator!

What it is?

Pathfinder Accelerator is a six-month programme led by experienced coaches to help you accelerate your business through a mix of workshops, masterclasses, remote 1-2-1 support, along with peer and self-directed learning.

The fully-funded programme provides a unique opportunity to:

  • Evaluate your business model
  • Pressure-test your ideas
  • Build a network of key contacts
  • Save you time and money developing your plans

Pathfinder cohorts take place several times a year. We hold taster sessions before each cohort begins to allow interested businesses to meet our expert coaches and speak to them about the programme.

This programme is a project delivered by the Northern Innovation Hub. This is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal - a joint initiative supported by £315m investment from the UK and Scottish Governments, the Highland Council, HIE and University of the Highlands and Islands. This programme also receives financial support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Innovation strategic intervention.

Who can apply?

Pathfinder Accelerator can help businesses, social enterprises, start-ups and entrepreneurs to fast-track the launch of a new product, service or business model. In order to be eligible for the programme your business must be located in the Highland Council area. You should be looking to develop a product, service or business model that relates to technology, life sciences, IT, health and care, engineering or aquaculture.

A childhood spent in Papua New Guinea, combined with expertise in micro renewable energy systems, led Terry Stebbings and his brother Neil to develop HydroTrailer, a cost-effective mobile hydropower system designed for developing countries.

By the time Terry finished our Pathfinder programme, he had a clear plan for HydroTrailer’s future and was focused on making connections in the right organisations.
