Low Carbon Heat directory

To support the growth of the Low Carbon Heat sector in Scotland, Scottish Enterprise has published a free online industry (supply chain) directory.

This is one of nine similar directories covering a range of industrial and manufacturing activity in Scotland

The directory lists companies with a base in Scotland who have established expertise in supplying low carbon heat goods or services.  You can use it to market your services or to search for suitable companies for your supply chain.

Grants available to upskill workforce

SMEs within the energy supply chain sector can now receive grants from the Scottish Government to help upskill their workforce as we move towards a decarbonised society. Energy Saving Trust is partnering with the Energy Skills Partnership (ESP) to ensure the supply chain workforce is equipped with valuable low carbon heat skills. These are in great demand, especially as Scotland works towards achieving its goal of net zero carbon by 2045.

Air and ground source heat pump four day courses are now available through a number of colleges in Scotland. Enrolment per SME will be limited to a maximum of five, with the minimum qualification requirement being a Level VQ3 or equivalent. Energy Saving Trust warmly encourages you, or your workforce, to act now before all funding is allocated. Further information can be found here.
