Digital imaging with heritage

COVID-19 has hit the heritage and tourist industry hard, but there has also been a creative response with museums connecting with audiences at home through virtual tours, galleries and social media.

This session is all about working with images to create digital galleries which can be accessed from home or within the museum. We will show how working with standards International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) and the Dublin Core Meta Data initiative (DCMI) we can make stunning galleries of images which can be accessed within the museum, through web sites or via social media.

This session is complementary to previous sessions held on Virtual Tours and Virtual Galleries, which focused on 3D artefacts and 360 images. These are available online.
