  • Location: Lochgilphead / hybrid working for applicants based throughout Argyll will be considered

  • Starting salary: £47,166 per annum with potential salary progression to £53,646 per annum

  • Excellent pension and benefits package

  • Contract/hours: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Highlands and Islands Enterprise as a Senior Development Manager, supporting a dynamic portfolio of businesses and organisations across Argyll and the Islands.

You will work at the heart of regional growth, leading the development and delivery of ambitious, often complex projects that drive sustainable economic and social impact. Engaging at a senior level with clients, partners and stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in unlocking investment, bringing together funding partners, and shaping projects from concept through to delivery.

This is a highly visible, collaborative role where you can make a real difference to communities, businesses and the wider regional economy.

The person

You are a confident and proactive professional with strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable operating at a senior level and influencing outcomes. With experience in project appraisal and delivery, including financial analysis, you bring the ability to manage complex projects and develop compelling business cases.

You’ll have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, combined with strong analytical thinking and the ability to work at pace in a governance-focused environment. If you’re motivated by making an impact, bringing people together, and helping organisations realise their growth ambitions, this is a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
