Skills Development Scotland

There is a variety of programmes available to help get your career off to a strong start.

Skillseekers is one of these programmes and can give you the chance to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification, at your own speed. Training is available in a huge range of careers and can include periods of college attendance.

Modern Apprenticeships is another work-based training programme that gives you the chance to earn while you learn.

If you need help to move into a job, further training or college, Get Ready for Work might be able to help you.

Careers Scotland advisers can give you advice and information about work and learning, whenever you need it and how often you need it.

For more information about the skills opportunities available to you contact your Careers Scotland centre.

Note: The responsibility for national training programmes transferred from Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise to Skills Development Scotland on 1 April 2008.
