Innse Gall

Our aim is: ‘To oversee a local economy which has a diversified base and encourages a higher rate of new business formation and survival.’

Community, in its truest sense, has been the real foundation of the culture of the Outer Hebrides for many centuries. It is the area's most essential strength and it affects all that the people of the area do and achieve.

Today, there is ample evidence of a strong link between the local people and local development. The traditional sense of community is alive and strong and, as the local enterprise company, it is the aim of HIE Innse Gall to foster and encourage that strength.

All HIE Innse Gall's directors and staff are committed to these islands and seek to promote much greater community involvement in the development process. By doing so, HIE Innse Gall believes it can lay the foundations of long-term economic success.
