Influence

Scottish Tourism Forum
Having a collective voice gives tourism businesses extra muscle and influence over decisions and policies that affects their livelihoods and future prospects. At the forefront in articulating the concerns and interests of the tourism industry is the Scottish Tourism Forum (STF).

They are the lead independent body of Scottish Tourism and represent industry views to government and the public agencies. The Forum comprises tourism trade associations, companies, individuals and local marketing groups who earn their living from tourism or have an active interest in tourism.

Regarded as the “Voice of the industry,” the Scottish Tourism Forum's chief purpose is to represent and unite tourism interests, with effective and independent communication and lobbying. Their objective is to make a meaningful contribution to the improvement of Scotland’s international competitiveness and business performance.

Says the STF, "Success in achieving our aims will rely on the strength of the Forum and our ability to be heard and take well founded industry views to the public agencies." Further information outlining the activities of the Scottish Tourism Forum are available on their website listed opposite.
