Ancestral tourism - business improvement
|
|
Businesses are working together to attract around 50 million people to Scotland who claim to have direct Scottish ancestry. Visitors should be able to find ancestral information easily and each visit should attract them to Scotland’s facilities. They should be able to make transport arrangements without difficulty, experience comfortable accommodation and have the opportunity to sample the quality of our cuisine. Can we all meet that challenge together? Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise and VisitScotland are working in partnership with the industry to deliver the Ancestral Tourism initiative. A series of activities will be delivered to ensure that opportunities for ancestral tourism are maximised. These include (links below point to pages in the VisitScotland website and will open in a new browser window): * The next phase * Steering group * Market appraisal and economic impact research * 'Ancestral Tourism - It's everybody's business' - feature Marketing opportunities |
