EatScotland is the new food quality assurance scheme for Scotland, run on VisitScotland’s behalf by Scottish Food Quality Certification (SFQC). The scheme includes all sectors of the catering industry serving consumers, from fish and chip shops to pubs, takeaways and restaurants. A trained team of assessors carry out an incognito visit to assess quality, standards and ambience. Only those operators who meet the EatScotland quality standards are accredited to the scheme so look out for the logo to ensure you visit some of Scotland's best, quality establishment. Silver and Gold Award winners have demonstrated that they meet EatScotland’s rigorous standards not only in terms of good quality food, but also ambience, cleanliness and service.
