The TalentScotland Placement Programme places skilled graduates and undergraduates in organisations across all sectors and across Scotland to conduct innovative projects and support their business growth.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise provides eligible businesses and social enterprises in the Highlands and Islands with the opportunity to employ a graduate or undergraduate for a specific piece of work. There are two different types of placements available:
The programme is only available to businesses and social enterprises that are account managed by HIE (i.e. are working on a growth plan with HIE). For information on account management, please contact your local Business Gateway Office.
The projects supported through a placement must be vitally important to the business but not currently be being delivered due to a lack of resources or time. In other words, the placement must relate to capacity to doing something different, rather than more of the same work. Projects should be quantifiable, measureable and clearly demonstrate an impact on business performance, for example increased turnover or sales, create cost savings or new jobs.
