HIE's Business Growth Programme for Highlands and Islands businesses, delivered by faculty members of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center is a fantastic opportunity for businesses of growth in the Highlands and Islands, in all sectors, to access world class teaching in entrepreneurship and business growth and to access cutting edge knowledge and research in innovation and technology. HIE's Business Growth Programme includes a series of workshops, week long intensive immersion courses, year-long mentoring programmes, access to research students and projects and connection to an international network of experts, markets and customers.
The Business Growth Programme consists of:
- Entrepreneurs Growth Programme (EGP) workshops - a series of two day workshops held in the Highlands throughout the year focused on key topics for entrepreneurship development and business growth
- Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) - places available on a week long, high level, intensive executive education course held onsite at MIT in Boston for highly ambitious businesses with international potential
- Going Global - an eight month mentoring programme for businesses in the Technology sector with growth potential which supports strategy development for expanding into global markets.
- Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab) - opportunities for Highlands and Islands businesses to host internships of MIT and Harvard students who take part on the E-Lab course to work on their real life business problems
- Media Lab - knowledge transfer opportunities and access to creative and innovative research, students, research directors, projects and the extended network of corporate sponsors and collaborators in the field of cutting edge technology research and development
