For companies, business start-up and employment skills training
What is it for?
This grant can be used to help pay for training which will make improvements to the performance of your company and employees.
It can also help pay for vocational training for an individual who is going to start their own business and who requires to learn new skills.
In addition the grant can help to pay for a training course which will improve the chances of an non-employed person returning to the labour market.
Who can apply?
An individual who is non-employed and who can demonstrate that they have a viable business start-up proposal.
Anyone who is not currently in employment.
What training is eligible?
There are a few training course which are not eligible for assistance, please contact HIE Skye and Wester Ross for the latest information.
FUNDING
- Financial assistance will normally be 50% of the eligible costs up to a maximum of £1000 grant per application
- For companies and business start-up the minimum application will be £500
- For the non-employed the minimum application will be £100
