How will my SVQ help me at work?

It will give you a nationally recognised qualification combined with work experience. You will learn about all aspects of accounting including recording and accounting for cash and credit transactions, recording payroll transactions, data processing, and communication. You will also learn about the importance of maintaining a healthy safe and secure workplace as well as understanding how to build and maintain working relationships with colleagues.

Where will my training take place?

The vast majority of your training will take place in your daily work. Assessors will also visit regularly to observe your work and to offer help and advice where necessary.

What qualifications will I need?

No qualifications are essential; however, a keen interest in accounting and an ability to get on well with people would be helpful.

Wages are negotiable direct with your employer.

SALE offers assistance towards travel or lodgings and childcare costs, where appropriate.
