Advanced Book-keeping

This course can follow on from the basic book-keeping course.  It provides consolidation on the basic course, looks at VAT, PAYE and wages payments and gives an insight into the world of accounts.  You will be given an opportunity to apply some of the knowledge gained to your own particular circumstances, and will gain a better understanding of what your accountant produces for you!

Duration - One day

Target Audience - Business owners or managers who have some knowledge of book-keeping systems which they wish to extend.  Suitable for new or established businesses.

Objectives - As a result of the course you will:

  • be able to select a method of keeping financial records in line with legal requirements
  • be familiar with some of the regulations and methods of dealing with VAT and wages/PAYE records
  • be able to record the financial transactions of the business in a way which can be easily read and understood
  • understand how to read and understand your business accounts
