What is Argyll Enterprise Week?

Argyll Enterprise week is a new event hosted by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Argyll and Bute’s Council’s Business Gateway. It will be held in Oban from 31st October – 4th November 2016.

Who is the event aimed at?

The event is for businesses, social enterprises, communities, potential entrepreneurs across Argyll and the Islands, and anyone else interested in enterprise.
Attendees can take advantage of free workshops, seminars, networking events and discussions. These are designed to provide support and inspiration in developing their enterprise ideas or achieving their business goals.

What will be happening throughout the week?

Central to the week will be the Business Support Trade Fair, held at the Gathering Halls in Oban.

This will bring together a range of public and private organisations that can provide support to attendees at various stages of business planning and runs on Wednesday 2nd November,  from 11am to 6pm at the Corran Halls, The Esplanade, Oban, PA34 5AB - this is a drop-in session so no booking is required. Feel free to come along!

Argyll Enterprise Week will also cover finance, internationalisation, digital and innovation. It will also focus on the potential in tourism, food and drink, creative industries and social enterprise within Argyll.

These themes will be covered by informative sessions, practical workshops and networking opportunities throughout the week at various locations in and around Oban.

The week closes with a full day dedicated to the Creative Industries, with a range of sessions covering Craft, Digital Tourism and a one day version of Xponorth, Scotland's leading creative industries festival. All of these sessions are available to book now!
