Commuting rail services in the Inverness area - 2003 study

Highlands and Islands Enterprise, in conjunction with Highland Rail Partnership, commissioned this independent research which was undertaken between January and March 2003.

It investigated the use and impact of the morning Tain/Dingwall to Inverness commuter rail service and the opening of the new station at Beauly. In addition, it appraised the likely usage of the new morning rail service proposed as part of the Invernet project, from Kingussie to Inverness.
