HIE Orkney

HIE Orkney's aim is to support the growth of the local economy by helping to create and develop viable businesses, a skilled workforce and community confidence, thereby providing employment and income for the islands. 

In the words of our mission statement our purpose is:

"To enable the people and businesses of Orkney to achieve their full potential."

On our 'how we can help you' pages you will find out how we can assist businesses, individuals and community groups.  We have tried to provide real examples of projects we have assisted to demonstrate how our funding can be used locally.

Under 'our key services' you will mainly find information that is common to the whole Highlands and Islands Enterprise network, although on most occasions your local point of contact remains HIE Orkney.
