A survey was conducted during the jobs fair and key findings are published below:
Employers
- 94% of businesses attending said that they see a role for RAF leavers in their organisation.
- 67% would consider offering a 1-6 week placement to a RAF leaver.
- 62% would like to find out more about specific technical skills RAF leavers possess.
- 93% provide on-the-job, in house or external training.
- 80% of businesses attending advertise vacancies in local press adverts.
RAF Leavers
- 78% of RAF leavers attending job fair now have a better understanding of what employers are looking for.
- 87% job fair said that they are planning to stay in Moray.
- 56% would consider commuting over 30 miles work.
- 45% are ideally looking for a salary between £20-30K.
