Dr Anna Whyte Currently Head of Science with the Food Standards Agency Scotland (FSAS) in Aberdeen and over the past six years has developed strong links with the Scottish Executive, Local Government, industry and academia, especially in Scotland. Manages a wide ranging portfolio of research and surveillance projects for FSAS, and has developed a Science Strategy for FSAS. As a member of the FSAS Management team has many years experience in business planning, and also contributed to the UK wide FSA Strategic Plan 2005-2010. Prior to this post, Dr Whyte spent 11 years with the Rowett, latterly with their commercial arm, Rowett Research Services Ltd, as Head of Contract Research. |
David Boyd Chairman of Boyd Food Machinery (Europe) Ltd, the company specialise in the acquisition and supply of refurbished industrial food processing equipment to customers all over the world, from their base near Buckie. David Boyd is also Chairman of Global Asset Recovery Ltd, auctioneers, valuers and asset displosal specialists for the food industry and is Managing Partner of Rannas Holdings which offers consultancy services to food manufactuers. |

Ash Major Ash Major has been associated with the RAF in Moray since 1981. He served as Officer Commanding Engineering and Supply Wing at RAF Kinloss between 1996 and 1998, responsible for the management of 1200 engineering and logistics personnel. Has also tutored future senior military leaders and, on reaching the rank of Group Captain, has latterly been responsible for shaping the future of RAF logistics support. He has had involvement at high level with the future basing and support of the Nimrod MRA4 aircraft, which has recently been confirmed by the MOD as having a long-term future at RAF Kinloss. He is now a consultant providing management services to UK-wide organisations. |
Don Wright Retired from a career spanning 30 years in the offshore construction industry with a broad range of roles and service in Scotland, Norway, Middle East, Far East and USA including managing director of the former BarMac at Ardersier and Nigg. Since retiring, Mr Wright has worked for a number of large international organisations at senior management and director level, and is currently retained as a consultant by ABB, the Swiss-Swedish engineering company. |

Stewart Cree Worked in the woollen industry as accountant before joining the police service. Rose through the ranks to Chief Superintendent, Headquarters Division, Grampian Police. Retired as Acting Assistant Chief Constable, Grampian Police in April 2001. Currently serves as an elected member of the Moray Council representing Keith-Cullen and with a strong interest in community issues in Moray. |

Alan James Alan James was born in Forres and worked for a local enigneering company for 28 years, starting off as an apprentice engineer and completing his employment as a director. During this period he completed a part time MSc degree in Project Management and Aberdeen University. In 1999 he set up an engineering company based in Forres which he now trades throughout Scotland. |

Peter Green Peter is a graduate of the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and Heriot Watt Universities where he studied electronic engineering and digital techniques. Peter has worked in telecommunications , computers and software and has held senior positions in research and development, marketing and manufacturing. He held positions in high tech international companies and formed news start ups in the uk, Canada and California. This experience has taken him around the world including Europe, North and South America , Australia and Japan and latterly returning to the UK. His professional interests cover research and development, new start up ventures and education. Having spent part of his teenage years living on a farm he is also keenly interested in numerous outdoor activities and agriculture/nature. |

Wilson Metcalfe A former Commanding Officer of RAF Kinloss, he is aware of the aspirations, talents, and abilities that the RAF personnel can bring to the local community and businesses and of the opportunities that the large RAF bases and their very significant number of personnel can offer to local enterprises. Wilson was selected by the Scottish Minister for Transport to be a non-Councillor Member of the Board of HITRANS and possesses a wide ranging knowledge of transport infrastructure and the challenges of transport throughout this region. Wilson Metcalfe was Defence Attaché in Russia directly involved with UK Defence Companies making innovative approaches to Russian Defence Industries having oversight of a UK funded programme that provided retraining for retiring Russian military personnel that was specifically focussed to meet the requirements of businesses in areas where the training centres were located. |
