Highlands and Islands Enterprise has partnered with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to bring a Business Growth Programme to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland in order to support businesses to grow in scale, size and ambition.

MIT brings businesses new knowledge, expertise, executive education and connection to global networks through this new three year programme.

HIE’s newly launched Business Growth Programme for Highlands & Islands businesses, in partnership with MIT is a fantastic opportunity for Highlands & Islands businesses to access world class teaching in entrepreneurship and business growth. HIE’s Business Growth Programme includes a series of workshops, week long intensive immersion courses, year-long mentoring programmes, access to research students and projects and connection to an international network of experts, markets and customers.

The HIE/ MIT Business Growth Programme consists of:

Entrepreneurs Growth Programme (EGP) workshops – a series of two day workshops held in the Highlands and Islands throughout the year focused on key topics for entrepreneurship development and business growth
                             
Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) – a week long intensive executive education course held onsite at MIT in January of every year

Going Global – a year long mentoring programme for businesses hoping to develop or expand their international markets

Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab) – opportunities for H&I businesses to host internships of MIT students to work on their real life business problems 

Media Lab – access to students, projects and the extended network of corporate sponsors and collaborators in the field of cutting edge technology research and development.
