Girl talk

It's important to be able to thank someone politely, so try these simple phrases:

Tapadh leibh! Thank you!
(More than one person, or an older person.)

Tapadh leat! Thank you!
(A younger person.)

A slightly less formal way to thank someone is:

Mòran taing. Thank you.
(Literally, 'Many thanks'.)

A nice phrase to use to say 'You're welcome' is:

'S e ur beatha. You're welcome.
(More than one person, or an older person.)

'S e do bheatha. You're welcome.
(A younger person.)
