Our business information library is a one-stop shop where you can find the information you need to help answer your business questions.

We have access to a wide range of information and services including a number of databases, CD Roms, directories, reference books and an extensive business library in Inverness, to enable even the most challenging enquiry to be addressed.

What can I find out?
Maybe you want to start a business, look for a supplier or new customers, information on employment legislation, statistics, training, export or European issues. Bring us your query and we will attempt to solve it or direct you to someone who can. Our resources include Croner ’s reference books, business information factsheets, business opportunity profiles, various directories and information on suppliers of products & services.

Who can use this service?
Anyone... businesses, individuals, students, trainers, community groups or the voluntary sector can access the information available within our library.  Just call in, phone, fax or e-mail us.

Q: I’m thinking of starting a business – who should I talk to?
A: We will provide you with a business start up pack tailored to your needs.  Depending on what is appropriate for you we will provide you with information and /or advise that you speak to either a Business Start Up Manager or a Business Counsellor. 

Q: We are looking for a supplier of X or Y. Can you help?
A: In addition to the wealth of local business knowledge our advisors have, we can also access directories and databases to source suppliers for almost any item, both locally and in the wider area.

Q: I am thinking of employing someone. What do I need to do?
A: This isn't as difficult as you might imagine. We have a number of information factsheets and handbooks that will help you through the process with the relevant information.
