Aims
Manual Handling activities are the cause of
numerous accidents in the workplace and also
long term disorders such as back pain and
reduced mobility. This 1 day course will enable
delegates to look carefully at their own work
activities and contribute to the development of
safer methods and tasks in co-operation with
their managers and supervisors.

All personnel required to carry out manual
handling tasks.

Benefits

injuries and give examples.
- State the principals for controlling manual
handling risks and apply them in a practical

Course Content
Candidates will cover the following:
- Introduction: What is Manual Handling
- The responsibilities imposed by the Manual
Handling Operations Regulations 1992
- Manual Handling injuries
- Completing manual handling assessments
- Controlling the risks
- Safer handling techniques
Where possible, if a course is delivered to a
single organisation, the organisation’s existing
policies, procedures and documentation will be
used during the course to ensure that delegates
understand the organisation’s policy/procedures
relating to manual handling.
This Course Costs £150 per person. Fees include lunch and other refreshments. All fees are VAT exempt. |
