The Alexander Graham Bell Centre is designed to support the ground breaking work being carried out in digital healthcare in the Moray Region. The £6.5 million project is now a centre of excellence to support research, education and business.
Located on the Moray College UHI Campus in Elgin, this collaborative hub provides opportunities and facilities for new business and research developments, creating important and strong links between the private sector, medical practitioners and academia.
Research and commercialisation units are available now for businesses.
The recently completed Alexander Graham Bell Centre is attached to Moray College UHI. It is a joint initiative between Moray College UHI and NHS Grampian, both of whom occupy the building.
There is also 5 research and commercialisation units available for businesses undertaking activity related to the centre. The public and other organisations are being encouraged to make use of conference and meeting facilities.
Additional research activities and commercialisation will be introduced to the centre to increase knowledge transfer activities with local companies and through the dissemination of information through course and curriculum development.
Remote and digital healthcare based on research and development currently undertaken amongst NHS clinicians based in Moray is the key initial focus for the Alexander Graham Bell Centre research activity.
