Strong and confident economies do not develop in isolation. Underpinning each is an equally strong and confident community that nurtures successful businesses, and an ambitious, educated workforce. We believe both are mutually dependent.

Empowered communities, proud of their culture and heritage and supported by a strong social infrastructure, are able to drive their own development thus retaining and attracting people to live, work, learn and play in our area.

Our three priorities are:

investment in community assets and services
development of community strengths, leadership and confidence
enhancement of the quality of the environment and culture
