Management training

Managers and supervisors are key assets in any business or organisation. Their core skills are the foundation of efficiency and successful staff development – at all levels.

Unfortunately, however, too many managers, and potential managers, seem to turn a blind eye to the benefits of formal off-the-job training. They tend to rely on what has worked in the past – not thinking about how training could help them to make progress and improve performance in the future.

To try and change this, we work with small and medium-sized enterprises to help them identify their management training needs and to provide funding towards meeting these needs we also delivers a number of one-day and other short management training courses. All of these are heavily subsidised, to help local companies make the most of their managers and senior staff.

Developed by HIE, the Learningworks web site also provides access to a wide range of management and other business training opportunities. It is easy to use, the information is free, and the emphasis is on the local delivery of high quality training.
