HIE Inverness and East Highland is one of nine local enterprise companies (LECs) and is part of the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) network. The task of the network is to help create a strong, diverse and sustainable economy where quality of life is matched by quality of opportunity.

We work in partnership with the people of the area to build on our already considerable strengths. Focussing on the key strategic aims of Strengthening Communities, Developing Skills and Learning, Growing Businesses and Making Global Connections is creating a more stable and sustainable community with the drive and determination to diversify our economy and promote the area’s unique attractions as a location for business.
