HIE Innse Gall aims to assist the Outer Hebrides Economy to develop throught a number of programmes. We aim to help businesses develop and prosper.

Our Growing Businesses remit covers many areas, from providing capital assistance, to advice and information, to infrastructure.

Business development
Assistance is available to businesses seeking to undertake viable development projects in the Outer Hebrides. Discretionary grants and loans are available and, where appropriate equity investment.

Business skills seminars

Community Economic Development (CED)
CED is a partnership programme designed to assist fragile communities enhance their future through the generation of sustainable social and economic opportunities.

LEADER +
This European funded programme, aims to put in place projects of a pilot nature, which encourage and support local development under the theme: “the use of know-how and new technologies to makes products and services more competitive”.

Property provision
Provision of new property - advanced or bespoke construction projects at various locations throughout the Outer Hebrides in line with demand and development opportunities for sale and lease.

Research and development projects
Financial assistance may be available to projects which involve a research element or pilot phase and are of an innovative nature, exploiting local opportunities, with the potential to bring social and economic benefits. Workforce development
Assistance for organisations actively engaged in introducing/ working with business improvement tools that will result in tangible benefits.  Eligible business improvement tools currently supported by the Network are IIP and EFQM.  Ad hoc support to individual businesses to assist their working towards other quality standards such as ISO may also be included.
