Business skills seminars

Modern apprenticeship programme
This scheme operates under the umbrella of Skillseekers and training follows a Scottish VQ level 3 together with training in core skills. (See Skillseekers).
Skillseekers programme
Aims to provide National Standard training to young people aged 16/17, we can help employers and young people seeking training in employment or through a training provider.
Special skills training grant
Funding is available to assist the self-employed, small businesses and the unemployed to undertake short-term development training courses in skills which will enhance employment opportunities, create better career prospects or improve the viability of a business.
Training for work
Support in the form of training is available to help people between 18 and 63 years of age who have been unemployed for at least 6 months, together with women returners and people with disabilities, to gain employment.
Workforce development
Assistance for organisations actively engaged in introducing/ working with Business Improvement Tools that will result in tangible benefits. Eligible business improvement tools currently supported by the Network are IIP and EFQM. Ad hoc support to individual businesses to assist their working towards other quality standards such as ISO may also be included. |
