The Highland capital of Inverness and the leading Moray Firth town of Nairn lie at the heart of the Inner Moray Firth area. Boundaries take in Auldearn to the east, Dalwhinnie and Fort Augustus to the south and Garve to the north and west.

The area has considerable economic strengths, forming a strong base on which to build.

Working in partnership with the community, the Inner Moray Firth area team is successfully addressing specific economic and structural weaknesses, developing a more diversified industrial base and promoting the unique attractions of the area as a location for inward investment.
