Acknowledgement of Institute of Hospitality conditions of accreditation
Accreditation is carried out by the Institute of Hospitality (IoH). The following conditions of recognition are as set out by the IoH.
It is important that all businesses seeking assessment agree to abide by a standard of conduct. You are therefore asked to read the following before applying. You will be asked to tick a box to confirm that you have read and agreed to the terms.
Standard of conduct You must agree to:
- Maintain the standard: take account of any suggestions for improvement from the assessment, continue good practice and do nothing that prejudices the standard.
- Notify us of any relevant changes to your business, including ownership, name, merger, acquisition or significant alteration in size. We may need to review the impact of major change, and may charge for this. But wherever possible, this will be incorporated within a regular review. Continuing recognition is subject to an annual review, unless this is agreed in writing.
- Accept and co-operate with the investigation of any complaint made against you in relation to your recognition.
- Where there is evidence that the standard does not continue to be met, recognition may be retained, pending the satisfactory completion of agreed improvement actions within a reasonable timescale. If improvements are not made within the agreed timescale, Hospitality Assured has the right to withdraw accreditation. This may also occur if a business is found to have brought the standard into disrepute, for example through breaches of health and safety, other legislation, fraud, non payment for Hospitality Assured services, mistreatment of employees or media statements.
- If recognition is withdrawn, plaques, certificates and other indications of recognition must be removed from display within 30 days; the logo must be removed from stationery and publicity material within three months; all artwork must be destroyed and no claim must be made of having previously been Hospitality Assured. All gifted plaques and certificates must be returned to Hospitality Assured.
Acknowledgement of these terms remains in force from the date you sign it until such time as your business ceases to be recognised as Hospitality Assured, and has discharged its obligations within the acknowledgement.
