Growth sector focus

Developing growth sectors, particularly distinctive regional opportunities.

In line with the Government's Economic Strategy, HIE targets support towards seven economic sectors in particular.  These are the sectors which have the greatest potential to boost sustainable economic growth across the Highlands and Islands.

The seven identified growth sectors are:

• Creative Industries
• Energy
• Business Services
• Food and Drink
• Life Sciences
• Sustainable Tourism
• Universities
