Moray - area overview

The Moray area runs from Auldearn, just outside Nairn east to Cullen and all the way south to Tomintoul. Most people live within the growing Moray Firth sub-region, although there are also links east to the strong Aberdeen economy.

Moray's ancient city of Elgin is the central node in a network of smaller market towns including Forres in the west, Keith and Buckie in the east and the coastal villages of Findhorn, Lossiemouth and Burghead to the north.

Moray has some of the strongest food and drink export businesses in Scotland, including some of the world's leading brands of whisky. The area is also home to premier international food brands such as Walkers Shortbread and Baxters Food Group, alongside many smaller producers serving niche markets.
