Film tourism - watch again (part 1)

Research tells us that one in five overseas visitors is inspired to visit Scotland by images they have seen on screen.

But, before all of this happens, there are a number of discrete stages that take place including the initial story, idea, or commission, through scriptwriting, casting, shooting, editing, and screening long before the finished product reaches its intended audience.

Part 1 of this 2 part series concentrates on how you can get involved in the film making process. The session digs down into the dos and don’ts to provide winning ways that will allow you to maximise the opportunity when films have been made in your area. Our guest speakers discuss what sort of things destinations and businesses need to be thinking about to ensure they can provide the best possible experience for the film crew and others involved in these early stages

Guest speakers include Suzanne Reid, Capricorn Film Productions and Brodie Pringle, Creative Scotland.
