goNORTH is Scotland's Leading International Creative Industries Festival taking place in Inverness on 4-5 June 2014.
It is an industry conference and showcase festival for contemporary and cutting edge music of all genres. Taking place across several venues in Inverness city centre, the event aims to highlight the best emerging talent from Scotland, the rest of the UK, and a selection of international contenders.
goNORTH was launched in 2001 to provide a platform for artistes from the north of Scotland to showcase for music industry and media representatives on their own patch. Originally hosted across Aberdeen’s Belmont Street, the festival briefly relocated to Dundee, before settling in Scotland’s most northerly city, Inverness.
Now, covering a much wider remit including Screen & Broadcast, Designer Fashion and Publishing, the event has become firmly established as Scotland’s leading Creative Industries Festival.
ScreenHI and Go Events have come together to form Creative Highland, now responsible for the delivery of goNORTH to a professional industry audience. Organisers and partners intend to grow the festival each year by developing the variety of workshops delivered, invite speakers and industry professionals visitors want to see and increase its presence throughout the year with news and information from the creative industries represented.
Most importantly, the goNORTH Festival is completely free to attend and an event we don't want anyone to miss!
