Growing Community Assets Consortium

Highlands and Islands Enterprise are the lead partner in a consortium that is delivering the £50 million Growing Community Assets (GCA) funding scheme.

The consortium partners are all established organisations with a strong track record in engaging with and supporting local communities to develop community based assets.

Together, we have a team of officers who will help you as you work on your application development and post award monitoring to ensure that GCA achieves its many aims. Decision making will remain with the Big Lottery Fund’s Scotland Country Committee.

The delivery partners are:

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE)

HIE is a non-departmental government body set up by statute and is the Scottish Executive’s economic and community development agency for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, covering just over half the land mass of Scotland and a population of around 460,000.

Community Energy Scotland (CES)

The Highlands and Islands Community Energy Company has now become Community Energy Scotland, a new Scottish Charity set up to support communities throughout Scotland to develop sustainable energy projects.  The work and staff of HICEC have now transferred to this new company.

Scottish Enterprise (SE)

Community Enterprise in Strathclyde (CEiS)
