FOI performance monitoring - January to June 2005

Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act - section 60 - code of practice, the HIE network is required to report on its performance under the legislation. The facts and figures below provide some statistics which summarise our handling of information requests for the first half of 2005.

The number of requests which the HIE Network received and logged during the period were:

  • Total number of centrally-recorded requests to HIE network  - 107
  • Highlands and Islands Enterprise - 33
  • Argyll and the Islands Enterprise - 8
  • Orkney Enterprise - 6
  • Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise - 7
  • Ross and Cromarty Enterprise - 11
  • Inverness and Nairn Enterprise (*Now Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise) - 8
  • Skye and Lochalsh Enterprise - 13
  • Lochaber Enterprise - 8
  • Shetland Enterprise - 7
  • Moray Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise (*Now HIE Moray) - 20
  • Western Isles Enterprise - 18

(* From 1 July 2005, strategic alterations to the boundaries of two local enterprise companies resulted in the formation of HIE Moray and Inverness Nairn Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise (INBSE). They replace Moray Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise (MBSE) and Inverness and Nairn Enterprise (INE) respectively.)
