Broadband is a high-speed ‘always on’ connection to the internet. Unlike dial-up, there’s no waiting around trying to connect – and you can be online and talk on the phone at the same time. The biggest advantages are savings on line rental, being able to check email instantly, and to receive and send files in seconds rather than minutes. The greater bandwidth allows users to do more things, more quickly. For business this means being more productive, efficient and better able to respond to customers, suppliers and trading partners.
